Not Short on time, effort or patience. Educate your buyer on what they can expect. Yes, they may be getting a great deal. Short sales are complicated transactions that require a lot of patience and the ability to act swiftly when tasked. I will usually prep my client that it could take up to 3+ months to close, if they reach the closing table at all. So they need to have flexibility. But at the same time the buyer needs to be prepared to close much sooner. Once approved, the bank will generally give a close date. Stay on top of these transactions with regular checks of the Magistrates Master List and good communication with the bank or negotiator.
